So, I go out and after an hour I return my house after doing all my outdoor activities. After that I take my breakfast and sit in my reading room. I continue my study for three hours. Then I take my bath and meal. Finishing meal I become ready for my school at 10 am because my classes start at10:30 am and finish at 4:00 pm. At 4:30 I return my home with great tiredness. Then I complete my meal and prayer and go for playing with my friends. Before evening I come back my home and pray my Magrib prayer. Then I go for continuing my study. At 9:30 pm I finish my all home works, and then I take my dinner with my parents. An Ideal Student
An ideal student is he who has a thirst for knowledge, the curiosity to learn and understand new and new things about man and nature. He has a regular routine for doing everything. Thus he is regular and punctual. He gets up early in the morning, takes regular exercise, has his bath and goes to his school and college in time. He devotes his time to studies whole-heartedly and he respects his teachers and elders, as he respects his parents. He helps the weak students in their students and never makes fun of them. He is very particular about his character and manners. He is truthful, honest and frank. He does not find fault with others but tries to get rid of his own drawbacks, if any. He has no evil habits like drinking, smoking, gambling etc. He is a great patriot and is ready to die for his country. He is very studious. He knows that an idle man’s brain is the devil’s workshop. He does the right thing at the right time. For instance, copying in the examination can never be his motto. He has a positive and and confident attitude towards life.
Bad Effect of Smoking
There is strong medical evidence that smoking is related to more than two dozen diseases. It has negative effects on nearly every organ of the body and reduces overall health. Smoking is responsible for the cause of preventable death and it has also negative health impacts on people of all ages: unborn babies, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Similarly, it leads people to develop health problems like cancer, organ damage, and heart diseases. These diseases limit a person's ability to be normally active. The carbon monoxide produced by passive smoking competes with oxygen for required sites on red blood booths. This reduces the blood's ability to deliver oxygen to the heart and compromises the heart muscle's ability to use oxygen. People who smoke cigarettes seem to have a higher risk of death from heart disease (and possibly stroke), but their risk isn't as great as that of cigarette smokers. Studies also show that smokers get more colds, flu, bronchitis, and pneumonia than nonsmokers. And people with certain health conditions become sicker if they smoke; because teens who smoke as a way to manage weight often light up instead of eating, their bodies lack the nutrients they need to grow, develop, and fight off illness properly. Smoking lessens the overall health of smokers. For every premature death caused each year by smoking, there are at least 20 smokers living with a serious smoking-related illness.

Begum Rokeya was a famous writer, a social worker, feminist and a social worker in undivided Bengal in the early 20th century. She is most famous for her efforts on behalf of gender equality and other social issues. Her father, Jahiruddin Muhammad Abu Ali Haidar Saber, was a highly educated landlord. Roquia had two sisters, Karimunnesa Khatun and Humayra Khatun; and three brothers, one of whom died in childhood. Roquia's eldest brother Ibrahim, and her immediate elder sister Karimunnesa, both had great influence on her life. She believed that women should have the same rights and opportunities as men have in the society. So she fought for their cause throughout her life. She was married to Khan Bahadur Sakhawat Hussain in 1896. Her husband was the Deputy Magistrate of Bhagalpur, now a district in the Indian state of Bihar. He was very cooperative, and always encouraged Rokeya to go on with her activities. Many upper class Muslims of Bengal at that time learnt Arabic and Persian as medium of education and communication. But Rokeya had great love for her mother tongue. She learnt Bangla and English from her eldest brother Ibrahim. She launched her literary career in 1902 with a Bangla story entitled Pipasa (Thirst). Rokea established a high school in her beloved husband's memory, naming it Sakhawat Memorial Girls' High School. It started in Bhagalpur, a traditionally Urdu-speaking area, with only five students. She also founded the Anjuman e Khawateen e Islam (Islamic Women's Association), which was active in holding debates and conferences regarding the status of women and education. In her life, she remained busy with the school, the association, and her writings for the rest of her life. She died of heart problems on December 9, 1932. In Bangladesh, December 9 is celebrated as Rokeya Day in her memory.
Our National Flag

Our heart swells up with joy when we see the flag upholds our country’s entity on the world map. Our glorious national flag was purchased at too great a price at the cost of a sea of blood. Painter Quamrul Hasan is the designer of our national flag. It is rectangular in shape. Its length and width ration are 10:6. The red circular disc with map of Bangladesh symbolises blood of thousands of Bangalees killed by the Pakistanis since 1947. It also represents the rising sun and the sacrifice of our people to achieve independence. The green backdrop stands for vitality, youthfulness and greenery. The background colour also emblematises the greenery of Bangladesh with its vitality and youthfulness. The national flag is hoisted atop the government, semi-government and self-autonomous buildings every day. But it is kept at half-mast on any national or international mourning days. The flag is the source of spirit, hope and inspiration. The flag must be kept at its sublime position at any cost.

Climate Change
Climate change is now the most unpredictable threat to our planet. The earth’s climate has changed over the last century. There is stronger evidence that most of the warming observed the last 50 years is due to human activities. Because of gas productions, temperatures should continue to rise over the 21st century. Its impact will be severely negative on both mankind and nature. Human activities that contribute to climate change include in particular the burning of fossil fuels, agriculture and land-use changes like deforestation. These cause missions of carbon dioxide [co2] the main gas responsible for climate change. And for this possibly many catastrophic changes will be inevitable. The more the greenhouse gases are emitted, the higher the tendency will be for the earth to warm. It will widespread the melting of snow and ice. Serious consequences will be a rise in sea levels, which will endanger coastal areas and small islands. Therefore, only reducing emissions of greenhouse gases should reduce the risk of the adverse effects .Many options for emission reduction is available. But the whole world needs to be concerned to remove this fatal threat.

To make our country digital first of all, uninterrupted power supply has to be ensured and we have to develop computer network skill and ensure equitable access. Finally, our education should be computer based and in primary and secondary schools students should get easy access to the computer.
Globalization
Globalization is, basically, a process of growing trade and commerce all over the world by creating a border less market. However, it is creating more opportunities for capitalist countries rather than for the developing ones. Similarly, in our modern day and age it has become a part of every country’s structure. Again, it is the international exchanges of technology, economy, culture, and politics which have increased over the past few years due to ease of communication and transportation. There are many advantages as well as disadvantages for globalization. With the development of hi-tech communication media and rapid transportation facilities the world has come closer. We can share our joys and sorrows like next door neighbors. Globalization also brings all types of different customs and behavior into our homes through satellite television channels and the Internet. Now, we can enrich our local culture through constant interaction of different cultures. In contrary, In the name of help and co-operation the industrially developed capitalist countries are misusing the cheap labor available in poor countries. This is the common fear about the adverse effects of globalization in the countries like ours. In spite of some disadvantages it makes the world very closer and makes it a global village.
Good Food/Nutritive Food
Good food does not mean the costly food. The food which is helpful for our body, mind and health and which helps to prevent all the diseases from our body is considered as good food. Generally, a balanced diet contains all elements of food-carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamin, mineral salt and water. We cannot avoid eating food because it gives us energy and the nutritional requirements we need to survive. Despite the many types of food available for us to enjoy, we should still remember to eat mostly fruits and vegetables because these are the only foods that have high nutritious importance. They are essential in promoting good health and keeping us fit from the insides, because eating too much unhealthy products such as fast foods have no nutritional value at all. Meat is also important because these are rich in protein and iron, as well as other nutrients that fruits and vegetables alone cannot give. It’s also important to choose the proper types of meat to stay healthy, such as bony meats and seafood. Grains also make up an important part of a healthy diet because they are loaded with fiber, antioxidants, b-vitamins, and minerals. The eating of more grains has significant health benefits such as lower risk of: Heart disease, fatness, indigestion, and certain kinds of cancers. It’s highly recommended to consume grains and other forms of fiber on a daily basis; good sources include brown bread, barley, and turmeric.
Green House Effect
A greenhouse is a house made of glass. It has glass walls and a glass roof. People grow vegetables and flowers and other plants in them. A greenhouse stays warm inside, even during winter. During the daylight hours, a greenhouse gets warmer and warmer and stays pretty warm at night too. This is because the heat received from the sun is trapped inside the greenhouse by the glass. The Earth is also like a greenhouse. During the day Earth’s surface warms up in the sunlight. At night, the surface cools releasing the heat back into the air. But some of the heat is trapped by gases like carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. These gases, called greenhouse gases, work like the glass walls and the roof and keep the Earth warm. This is global warming and it is making the Earth a dangerous planet. Unfortunately, we are making the earth too hot. We are using oil, gas and coal for running cars, buses, trains, planes, power stations and so on. These fuels have carbon in them. This carbon and other gases trap the heat in the atmosphere and do not allow the earth to cool down. As a result, the Earth gets hotter. As a result of global warming, the ice on the Earth’s surface is melting fast due to extreme heat. Oceans and seas are warming too. All the ice that melts will fill up the oceans and seas and they will overflow on land. Thus a huge area of land will go under water. Some of the best land for growing food is also the most low-lying. That means it will be flooded first. Even some big cities like London, Kolkata and Bangkok will get flooded. That means thousands of people will lose their houses and land and they will go hungry. Moreover, as the earth’s climate warms up, the weather gets more violent. Storms and cyclones will become more powerful. More areas will get drier and turn into deserts. There will be heavier rains too. So there will be more floods and river erosions.

Next we have to go a grocery store with sufficient money. We should go the nearest and reliable store to do the shopping. Then we have to ask the shopkeeper for the things that we have listed. We should bargain with the shopkeeper for the price. Lastly we have to pay the money. According to the above process we can do grocery shopping perfectly.
How to do Grocery Shopping
You go to the grocery store to buy fruits, vegetables, meats, and various packaged goods that you need for cooking and eating. After you park your car in the parking lot, you go inside the store and take a shopping cart. You go up and down the various aisles looking for the things that you need to get on this shopping trip. It is usually a good idea to make a shopping list before you go to the store. If you make a list first, you know exactly what you need to get, and you won’t be so tempted to buy things you don’t really need. It is also a good idea not to shop when you are hungry. If you shop when you’re hungry, you usually buy things that are not on your list. This is known as impulse buying. Shopping with a list, and shopping when you’re not hungry, are good ways to avoid impulse buying. Many people go grocery shopping once a week. Different stores have weekly sales, so it is also a good idea to plan what you buy to take advantage of the sales. Saturdays are busy days when more people go grocery shopping, so some people prefer to shop during off-peak times. Many supermarkets are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so it is easy to pick a time to go grocery shopping that is convenient for you. After you’ve gotten all the groceries that you need, you go to the checkout. If the store is crowded, you might have to look around to see which checkout lane is the shortest. When it’s your turn, you put all your groceries on the conveyor belt and wait for the cashier to ring them up. Most stores now have a scanner, so instead of entering the prices by hand at the cash register, all the cashier has to do is swipe the groceries over the scanner, and the price comes up automatically on the cash register. However, things that must be weighed, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, must still be entered by hand. The cashier puts the items on the scale and enters a code for the fruits or vegetables. The code indicates what the current price of the item is, and then the cash register calculates the total cost based on the weight of the item. Once the cashier has rung up all your groceries, you pay him. The cashier puts your groceries into bags. Sometimes he has a bagger who helps him by bagging the groceries and putting them in your cart for you. After all the groceries have been loaded in your cart, you can go to the parking lot and put the groceries in your car, go home, and put all the groceries away. Then you’re done grocery shopping for another week!

A Train Journey
A journey is pleasant to all. A journey by train is especially very pleasant and enjoyable to me. A few days ago I made a journey by train from Dhaka to Chittagong. During the last vacation one of my friends requested me to attend his sister’s marriage ceremony at Chittagong. So I got a chance to make a journey by train. I accepted this invitation gladly. Two other friends joined with me. On the fixed day we reached Kamalapur Railway Station at 07:00 A.M. The station was very crowded. Somehow we managed to buy our tickets. With great difficulty we got into the train. Fortunately I got my seat beside the window. After a few minutes the guard blew the whistle and the train began to move on. At first the train moved on slowly. There it began to run in full speed. I kept looking outside through the window. The train was passing through the green fields. Dew drops on green grasses were glittering like pearls. Trees and houses seemed to run behind. We saw the farmers working in the field. Cattle were grazing here and there. I enjoyed the scenes with cheerful mind. All these pleased me very much. It was the most pleasant journey in my life.
Milk
Milk is a liquid substance. Its colour is white. It is neither so light as water nor so heavy as oil or honey. It looks fine. It is called an ideal food because all kinds of food value belong to it. Other animals also produce milk but people do not consume that because they are not suitable for our health. Milk is used for various purposes. It is used to make many kinds of delicious foods: semai, payesh, cake, polao, biriani, curd, ghee, sweets and so on probably milk is the most beneficial food in the world. Only milk is enough for a man to supply all kinds of nutrition. So we should be aware of the importance of drinking milk. Again the government and the private sectors must work together to take great care of the cows in our country so that they can supply huge quantity of milk to meet the demand of the people of Bangladesh.
My Experience of a great day
Everybody has a great day in his life, and it may be interesting. In my life I have also a great day and it happened in the last January. From our school I went to a scout jamboree in Srimongal. From Sylhet we went there by train. We were ten members in our team. The programme was for two days. We had two teachers with us. The first day started with cleaning. In the morning, we cleaned our camp area, arranged the tent and then prepared our breakfast. After break fast, we took part in a March past and display. Then our senior brothers prepared our lunch. In afternoon, we had a scout class from 2 to 4 pm and in the evening, we enjoyed a cultural program. Our team performed a small play and it was great fun. At night, we slept in the tent. The next day we went different places of Sylhet. We were very happy to see the forest, the tea gardens, and the rubber gardens and so many mountains. Our program ended with a bonfire and the scout oath. We were away from our family for two days but we had great experience.
School Garden
School garden means the place which is covered with different types of vegetables and flowers, situated in the area of the school. Generally every reputed and popular school in cities and towns has school garden. It may be small, or large. Like others we have also a garden in our school. It is a flower garden. It is situated beside of our class room near our school weal. Whenever we get time, we work in it. In our school garden we grow many types of flowers such as, the rose, the marigold, the china-rose, the jasmine, the tube rose, the china-box etc. On our holy days we pass our time by working in our school garden. Sometime we lose the soil with spade and weed out the grass. Every afternoon after completing our classes we water the plants. Beside our flower garden we also grow different types of vegetables and fruits. We put a strong fence around our school garden so that cattle and naughty boys cannot do any harm to our school garden. In the morning we gain much pleasure when we see our garden full of various blooming flowers. They spread sweet smell. The garden also looks very charming. The beauty and sweet smell of the flowers make us jolly. When our friends come from other school to visit our school we take them into our school garden and show them various flowers. They become very glad and they thank us. Before making this garden some of us were the boy of ill health. Day by day they became weak. We started the garden to have a sound health and our health, in fact, improved. Every day we work in the garden at least two hours after completing our classes. As a result of our health runs well. We also keep a care taker to look after the garden. Though gardening is very hard working but it is enjoyable too. So now we are very proud of our school garden. Every day our guardians and other people visit our school to take their children’s condition. When they come in our school they visit to our garden. When they visit our school garden and they admire our school garden. At last they thank us and also our teachers.
Poverty
Generally poverty indicates the situation in which man cannot enjoy the basic needs of life. It is a great issue, not only in the country Bangladesh, but also in many countries around. Everyday thousands of people are finding themselves well below the poverty line. Many people are starving to death and many people are not even having a place to rest their heads each night. It is a social curse and a source of many social evils. Similarly, it is a shame on the society. The impact of poverty is also reflected in the housing standards. One of the main causes for poverty is over-population. The population is increasing rapidly but the resources are not enough to cope up with it. Again, most of the people of our country are very poor. They live below the poverty line. They lead very miserable life due to poverty. However, this poverty can be lessened to some extent. Our lands should be cultivated scientifically. Scientific method and modern farming should be introduced. The high birth rate should be controlled. More employment opportunities should be created. Some other actions may be created to remove poverty. These are animal husbandry, crop diversification, fisheries, poultry rising, horticulture, dairy farming etc. Finally, over population should be stooped. To stop poverty government should take necessary steps against it and we should be conscious about poverty.
Price Hike
Price hike means the rise of price of daily necessaries. Today price hike is a common phenomenon in our economy. The price of essential commodities is increasing by leaps and bounds. The causes of price hike are many. Hoarding is one of the important factors for soaring price level. People hoard the essential commodities with an ill motive and as a result there is break down in the supply. Smuggling and black marketing are also important factors that cause price hike. Essential commodities are always being smuggled across the border. Shortage of supply due to low production also accelerates the price hike of essential goods. Our population is increasing in geometrical progress, while the supply of food increases in arithmetical progress. For this the supply of goods is very scanty in comparison to our demands. However efforts should be made and necessary actions and proper measures should be taken to tackle the situation. Hoarding should be controlled. Smuggling and black-marketing are to be eradicated. Adequate supply of essential commodities is to be ensured. And last of all government should launch programmed to tackle the price hike problem. No individual, community, organization not even the government is capable of solving the problem single handed. So, we all should come forward to fight united against the problem. And public awareness can be raised through newspaper, radio, satellite television, and internet in this regard.
Self-Employment
Self-employment means to create job opportunity for oneself by one’s own effort. Today the most vicious problem that Bangladesh is facing is unemployment problem. As Bangladesh is densely populated the government can not provide the young population with employment opportunity for everyone. This unemployment is a curse. It weakens the body and mind of our young generation. Frustration leads them to drug addiction and various crimes. But we should change our notion of secure and comfort able job in an office or bank because there are more people in our country than jobs. So, educated youth should not depend on the government to provide them with jobs. Self employment is the possible solution to this problem. The youths should not remain idle after completing their studies. They should remember that self help is the best help. They can easily engage themselves in various sectors of self employment. Agricultural farming, poultry raising, fish cultivation, livestock rearing are some of the sectors. The government and different NGOs are working relentlessly for providing the youths with training in various vocational activities. They also provides the youths with loans on easy terms to start these jobs of self employment. So, we ourselves should seek self employment because a self employed man is not unemployed anymore rather he can provide other people with jobs.
The Olympic Games
Today, the Olympic Games are the world's largest athletic skill and competitive games. More than 200 nations participate in these games. Generally, the games occur every four years. The Olympic Games have a long history. The first Olympic Games at Olympia were held in 776 BC. The tradition of the game comes from the Greece. The Greece first held it at the foot of Mount Olympus. That was almost three thousand years ago. Baron Pierre de Coubertin, a France man, is the father of the modern Olympic Games. He founded the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1894. As a result, the Olympics shifted away from pastime, to allow the participation of professional athletes. The ancient Olympics had some differences from the modern Games. There were fewer events, and only free men who spoke Greek could compete, instead of athletes from any country. Women were not allowed to even watch the games on penalty of death let alone play in them. Both the modern and Ancient Olympics have close similarities in their purpose and in their problems. Now 13000 athletes compete in 33 different sports in Olympic Games. The world has already seen 29 Olympic Games. The 30th Olympic Games took place in London in 2012. Now a day, the games become more popular to the audiences and the competitors.
Polybag
A polybag is a type of packaging made of thin, flexible, plastic film or plastic textile. Polybags are used for containing and transporting goods. Most polybags are heat sealed together. A single plastic bag can take up to 1000 years, to decay completely. This makes the bags stay in environments longer, in turn leading to great build-up on the natural landscape. In other words, the more plastic bags you use, the greater the chances of environmental damage. Plastic bags are extremely durable. In case you are thinking of this as an advantage, just bring to mind an image of the huge landfill that 0ne visited on the city outskirts, the other day. In most probability, majority of the rubbish present there will comprise of plastic bags only. In other words, plastic bags have led to a great increase in the pollution levels. So we should aware of the bad effects of poly bags and should avoid the use of poly bag in our daily life.
Acid Rain
Acid rain is a rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic, meaning that it possesses elevated levels of hydrogen ions (low pH). It can have harmful effects on plants, aquatic animals, and infrastructure. Acid rain is caused by emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides which react with the water molecules in the atmosphere to produce acids. Governments have made efforts since the 1970s to reduce the release of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere with positive results. Nitrogen oxides can also be produced naturally by lightning strikes and sulfur dioxide is produced by volcanic eruptions. The chemicals in acid rain can cause paint to peel, corrosion of steel structures such as bridges, and erosion of stone statues.
Electronic mail or simply E-mail is very much popular now-a-days for its speedy transmission of information's and cost effectiveness. Hence information provided by a sender is delivered asynchronously to a point where it can be retrieved and processed later on by one or more recipients of the sender's choice. In an E-Mail system, there is a number and the sender keeps on dialing the desired number till he/she is successful. Once it is connected, the PC terminal of the sender sends the message to the PC terminal of the recipient at a very high speed. There is no need of any physical presence of both the sender and the receiver. The sender can enter the message and the receiver can retrieve it whenever he/she is free. The message will remain in PC's memory. The transmission of messages is usually done through landlines (telephones) or satellite communications or through marine cables. E-mail has lot of advantages to its credit. It is cost effective. Very less money is required In comparison to other transmission device. It is time saver. Within very short time messages can be sent. There is no need of presence of either the sender or the receiver. Once the message is entered into PC’s it will remain in the receiver PC's memory. E-mail transmission is very speedy. It is four times faster than FAX and ten Times faster than telex. There is the system of using password which each subscriber can choose to use. Hence E-mail gives security of message.
Environment Pollution
All the ingredients that we have around us are jointly known as environment. Environment pollution implies the contamination of the surroundings. Any abnormal change of environment in chemical, physical and biological characteristics in environment is called environment pollution. Environment is the whole system of our existence. Our environment is becoming polluted everyday for several reasons. Human beings mainly pollute environment. Massive industrialization is an important cause of environment. Smoke from motor vehicles also pollutes environment. Serious environment pollution occurs in big cities because buses, trucks and cars play in the streets everyday and emit smoke. Mills and factories also pollute water. They throw their waste products into rivers and canals. By burning wood and melting pitch for road construction people make more smoke and pollute air. We use pesticide in our crop fields. It also pollutes our environment. Indiscriminate cutting of trees has also turned unbalanced environment. The ecological balance is being lost as a result of environment pollution. If we all desire to live a healthy and tranquillized life, we should make our environment clean and free from pollution. We should be all whole-heartedly in keeping our environment fit for habitation.

But it is a matter to sorrow that many people of Bangladesh do not have still access to Internet because it is still costly and not easily available.
The National Memorial
National Martyrs' Memorial is one of the greatest monuments in the history of Bangladesh. It is located at Savar, about 35 km north-west of Dhaka, symbolizes the velour and sacrifice of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the liberation of Bangladesh. It was designed by Syed Mainul Hossain. Plans for the monument were initiated right after the independence, in 1972. The main structure and the artificial lake and other facilities were completed in 1982. The monument is composed of 7 isosceles triangular pyramid shaped structures, with the middle one being the tallest. The highest point of the monument is 150 feet. There is an artificial lake, and several mass graves in front of the main monument. The architect has used concrete for the monument while all the other structures and pavements of the complex are made of red bricks. It symbolizes that it is built with concrete but made of blood. Once one enters the complex through the main gate he or she can see the monument axially but to reach it one has to walk through different ups and downs of pavements and cross an artificial lake by a bridge-all these represent the struggle for independence. The most moving sight of the complex is the several graves of the martyred freedom fighters: close to the tower.
Dowry System
Dowry means property or money brought by a bride to her husband when they get married .Now a days the system of giving and taking dowry in marriage is more prevalent in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh this is seen to be major problem. In the Bangladeshi society this system is treated as a serious problem. Wife is inhumanly tortured and killed by her husband for dowry. Most of the parents are poor. They cannot keep up their word they give before marrying off their daughters. This leads to chaos and hellish unhappiness. However, the first thing to be done to stop this malpractice is to grow awareness among all. Movement against dowry system should declare right now. We cannot get ride of this social vice by taking social reformative works urgently.

Arsenic is a fatal poison. It has been deposited in that layer of the soil from here our tube-wells pump out water. As a result in most areas of Bangladesh tube-well water in contaminated with arsenic. Arsenic pollution has made the scarcity of drinking water acute though our country is water-rich. The irony of fate is that “water, water everywhere nor a drop to drink.” It is a hard nut to crack. Arsenic is such a poison that damages all the vital organs or after another resulting in the subsequent death of the sufferer. Arsenicosis has no remedy nor has it any antidote. Hence arsenic pollution demands utmost attention. An affected person should drink arsenic free water and take vitamins A,C,E to come round. Arsenic polluted water has been ter5med as the killing water. There has been worldwide awareness of this problem. Aids from different corners are reaching. Deep tube wells rainwater, reservoirs, surface water treatment, etc. may be the pragmatic measures to minimize the problem to a great extent.

The boons and benefits derived from them are too many to count. Trees provide us shelter, food, fruits, firewood, timber and oxygen. We get vitamins from fruits. They prevent soil erosion, air pollution and floods. They also effectively prevent the spread of the desert and landslides. They are essential to maintain ecological balance and preservation of fauna. We all should plant and grow more and more trees and protect them. Social forestry should be taken on a large scale and trees should be grown all around where in space. Trees add to the beauty and quality of our life and living. We have to plant trees in every bare space of land, the sea beaches, the low-lying areas, the road sides should be brought under deforestation. We cannot think our existence without trees. People should grow more and more trees to improve our adverse situation. The result of tree plantation will be positive for human being in every sphere of life.

As a Bengali, I am proud of the day as the day got recognition internationally and it is now observed all over the world.

Load Shedding
Load shedding has become a very common affair in our daily life these days. The people living in the areas supplied with electricity are quite familiar with the term load shedding. In the modern world electricity plays a very important role in regulating our life. Any interruption in the supply of this vital item of energy can put the whole system out of order and simultaneously can paralyze our daily activities. In our country there is hardly any area which is not affected by load shedding. Load shedding means the discontinuation of supply of electricity. Load shedding occurs when generation of power is less than the demand and when we distribute electricity wrongly. It creates many problems of far-reaching consequences in the economic and social development of the country. Most of the mills and factories become idle and for this reason industrial production declines and workers are retrenched. Social works and activities cannot go in order. Students cannot study properly because of the failure of electricity. During load shedding they are to study in dim candlelight. The housewife gropes in the darkness in the kitchen. The shops are to close down before the closing time. Spectators in the cinema hall spend hours in stuffy suffocation for load shedding. All types of productions stop and the entire life comes to a standstill during the period of load shedding. So, proper steps should be taken to stop load shedding. By establishing more power plants, power houses and by stopping unplanned distribution of electricity, illegal connection and reducing system loss, we can solve this problem.

She also takes care of our health and studies. She looks after my grandparents as well and does all household work. On the whole, she is the heart of our family. She is not only a mother but also a friend and a good teacher. When I feel sick, she feels very sad and nurses me as soon as I recover. She is a pious, honest, sincere, friendly, helpful, kind and punctual lady. Sometimes she goes to the market and visits relatives. She helps the poor and sick people. In the evening, she watches TV. She remains busy the whole weak. On holidays she cooks special dishes (food) for us and spends her free time with us. I can’t think (imagine) any happiness of our family without my mother. There is none else like my sweet mother in the world. I love my mother very much.
An Igloo
An igloo is a structure which is built from blocks of solid snow. They are carefully shaved and placed to fit in the best positions. Igloos are closely associated with Inuit culture. Many Native North American people built igloos, some of which were quite large and elaborate. Igloos can still be seen in the far reaches of North America today. An igloo may also be referred to as a snow house. A classical igloo is dome-shaped. The roof has a small hole for airing, and the door is dug into the snow so that it is lower than the igloo itself. This creates a cold trap, ensuring that the temperature inside the igloo stays relatively warm. In fact, some igloos get quite temperate inside and the uses of heated stones raise the inner temperature. Making an igloo is rather remarkable. The blocks are cut from snow which has been heavily compacted, ensuring that they will be strong, and the structure is built without the use of mortar or supports. Once the igloo is finished, the people inside actually contribute to its strength and solidity, because heat causes the inside blocks to start melting, while the cold refreezes the melted water, creating a smooth sheet of ice which further insulates the igloo.

So, we should eat plenty of these foods. Then in the next group we can see some fresh fruits and vegetables. We must eat them regularly. As we go up the pyramid, we find dairy products like milk, cheese, yogurtand meat, fish, beans, nuts and eggs. We should eat these food items moderately because they are important for health we don’t need too much of them. And at the top we have fats, oils, sweets, etc. and we should eat very little of these foods because they are unhealthy.
Leisure Time
Leisure time means time free from work or other activities. A man should enjoy leisure or life will be meaning less. Routine work makes life boring and monotonous. Health is Wealth
There is no doubt that health is wealth. A wealthy man with poor health cannot enjoy his life. So, all his wealth is useless for him. Money cannot buy health and happiness. For a student good health is must as to study regularly and he has to be fit enough. Therefore, to keep a good heath man has to take balanced diet as well as take regular exercise. He must drink pure water. Surely, if the mind and body goes well he will find to do everything well. On the other hand, a poor man with good health can enjoy life where a rich man with poor health cannot enjoy a sound sleep. He cannot enjoy good food and he spends his life under many defenses. Again, a poor but healthy man lives a better life and he can work hard, similarly enjoy a sound sleep. He does not spend sleepless and restless nights. He can eat whatever he wishes. Thus, a poor but healthy man can live a better life than a rich but sick man.
Women's Contribution to Society
From the beginning of the world women have been contributing a lot to build the nation more strong and fruitful beside the male. In spite of their important support they are not given so much privilege to express themselves freely in the society. In the ancient society women were looked upon without any dignity and honor. They were considered as the mere instruments of serving the family affairs. So they did not get proper education, respect even food. They were not given any opportunity to go outside of their houses. But with the progress of civilization, the outlook and the attitude of the world towards women have totally changed. When they realized that, it is totally impossible for any nation to get prosperity and reach to the goal without allowing women to play an active role. They started adding the women beside them in different parts of the work. Now a day a number of women in our country are working in different garment factories beside the women of the world. By working in the factories they earn their livelihood and maintain their family. There are also many women who are working in government and non-government offices with their professionals nowadays. They are working and earning a lot not only for supporting their own family but also for contributing to the whole development of our country. Gradually they are developing themselves in every stage of life. They are now more conscious, serious and professional. The women are now enjoying their fundamental rights. They are seen in all the professions like: doctor, teacher, banker, engineer, journalist, writer and even they are also seen in the pick of the Everest. In spite of their better position in the society still now a number of women in both villages and towns in our country have to face a lot of social and religious bindings. They are not given their equal rights. Dory system is the worse system in our society. Only for it every year many women have lost their valuable lives. To make the women more powerful for our nation, we should give them proper education and give them the chance to go ahead beside the male. So, we should change our outlook and educated circle of our population should come forward beside government and NGO to establish the rights of the women so that they can actively take part in nation building.

Celebrating a birthday party is not so easy because there are some tasks to fulfill which are complex. So, if I wish to observe my birth day I have to do these things with great care. First, I have to invite my relatives and friends before the date. Secondly, I have to decorate my house with different types of flowers, colorful papers, and banners. Especially for the day, I have to buy a new dress and the dress should be matched with my body and I have to wear the dress before starting the program. Thirdly, I have to arrange a birthday cake, candles, chocolates, sweets etc. After the arrival of the invited guests I should light the candle and cut the cake in the middle at the song “Happy birthday to you” and serve the prepared delicious food of them. After the meal and the main program a short cultural program can be arranged to make the day memorable and give the guests much pleasure. Finally, the gusts may leave the house with wishing me many happy on the day.

A Railway Station
A railway station is a place where trains shop and start from. It is a crowded and familiar place to all. From railway station people get into the trains and get down from the train. In a big railway station there is a shed over the platform but at a small station it is open. A railway station has its master’s room, ticket counter and waiting room for male and female. There are restaurants, shops, newspaper corners, book stalls and other stationary shops in it. Passengers come here from different places and also go different places from here. Passengers always gather here to collect their tickets. They push one another to go ahead. When the train comes it becomes a noisy place and when train leaves the station it becomes calm and quiet. The flagman moves with red and green flags. The hawkers make different sounds, beggars continue their begging and all people also continue their own works in the station. Thus a railway station is a place of great noise.
The House I Live in
The house in which I live in is two stored building and we live in the ground floor. The shape of the building is really beautiful. So, it looks very beautiful both in inside and outside. It faces in the south. As a result, we can easily get the sunshine and fresh air all the time. There is no difficulty to live in this house both in summer and winter because the house is perfect for all seasons. There are two bed rooms and study room for me. The kitchen stands on the north and for this smoke cannot enter in the house. There is a flower garden in front of the building. So, we always get the sweet smell of blooming flowers which always make us fresh and also active. The environment of my house is healthy because we always keep it neat and clean. There is a main road beside our house. So, we can move from one place to another easily. The beauty of my house always charms all very much. I feel happy to live in such a fine house and I am proud of it.
A fixed price shop
A shop is very familiar palace to us. A shop is available in the place where people live or use to move around. There are many kind of shop around us. They have many names like grocery shop, variety store, cosmetics shop etc. But they have two forms. One is fixed price shop and another is variable pricing shop. The term, fixed price shop, is used to mean the price of a good or a service is not subject to bargaining in the shop. The term commonly indicates that an external agent, such as a merchant or the government, has set a price level, which may not be changed for individual sales. In the case of governments, this may be due to price controls. On the other hand, Variable pricing is a form of pricing of products or services as distinct from a fixed price. Traditional examples include auctions, bargaining, discounts, price skimming, penetration pricing and 'price shading' (where the seller may vary the price by a certain amount or percentage as required). Stock markets and foreign exchange markets are based in variable pricing, with pricing models generally becoming more sophisticated driven in part by reduced transaction costs using modern information technology; notably examples include yield management and pricing. Finally it is clear to us that the fixed price shop is good because all the buyers take a thing at the same price from it. None is deceived from it

How to Use a Dictionary
Using a dictionary is not a hard task for anybody if he or she knows the letters of the language and knows the arrangement of the letters that are used in the dictionary. Generally, a dictionary is designed alphabetically. The first letter of a language comes in the beginning of the dictionary. Then they are maintained in an organized way in order to arranging these words correctly. The page starts with a single letter A or B or …. Then the words are written one after another like in the alphabet. The main words are designed in bold. The pronunciations are mentioned in the brocket with the symbols of the language. Gradually the meanings of the words are written with their different uses by making sentences. Sometimes the antonyms and the synonyms are given. Different parts of speeches are also mentioned for better understanding. So, if anybody wants to use a dictionary he has to know the letters of the language and their sequences. Finding out the meaning of a word, he has to search the first letter of the word and then he can add the second letter with the first letter. He should not search the whole words. Only he should search the word which is required. According to the letters of the words, he can search and the first two or three letters of the words are mentioned on the top of the page of the dictionary. Again, if he wants to understand the pronunciation of the words he has to learn the symbols of the language that are mentioned in the dictionary. In this process anybody can use a dictionary.
My First Day at School
The date was 8th January when I was given admission and got admitted in the school in class I. At that time I was six years old and I was going to school with my father in a rickshaw. It took us half an hour to reach the school. I saw many students on the school campus. Some were playing and some were talking to each other. I didn’t know anyone. So I was a little afraid. My mother soon took me to the Headmaster. He asked me a few questions and I answered them intelligently. He was very pleased and he put his hand on my shoulder and praised me very much. Then I was admitted to class 1. The Headmaster was a very nice person. He called a teacher and said to her to take me to the class. The class teacher welcomed me and gave me a seat. All the students in the class were staring at me. I felt a bit nervous to see all the new faces. But soon I became easy. I could make friends with two or three students sitting close to me. After that period the boys of my class made fun of me and pulled my cheeks. I got annoyed but gradually I became quite normal. I even made a few friends and everything became all right. A new place is a new experience. So my first day at school is a new experience in my life. I will remember the day as long as I live.
Prize-Giving Ceremony at Our School
The prize- giving function of our school was held on the fifteenth January. The Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University, as the chief guest, was invited to charm the occasion. After completing the ceremony we had staged a drama.

Our Culture/ Bangladeshi Culture
The culture of a society means the way of living, eating habit, cultural functions, different kinds of festivals, clothes, language, religion, values, policies, tradition etc. It is the complete picture of a nation and the most important and basic concept of sociology. There are some characteristics of culture. Firstly, it must be social and it is developed from the society and social communication. Secondly, all the rules of a culture are not learnt by the people in the society. Some are learned and some are acquired. The cultural activities of a society are totally different from another society. Cultural elements like the way of living, eating habit, cultural functions, different kinds of festivals, clothes, language, religion, values, policies, tradition etc. are totally different from other cultural elements. In our culture, our songs are based on rural and idyllic pictures of life. We have jari, sari, bhatiali, polligiti, religious and mystic songs. Similarly, we have our own food habits like eating rice and fish. Again, we have our traditional dress like lungi, Panjabi, shirt, saree and blouse. Nowadays, it is seen that our cultural activities are changing because of the influence of the western culture. So, our young generation is no longer interested in our folk or idyllic songs. They are fascinated by Hindi or English music. In summary, Culture is a part of our life and we are not out of our own culture. We live and grow up in the midst of our own culture.
Bangladeshi Food
Bangladesh is rich with various types of foods which enrich our culture and make it familiar among the people of other nations in the world. There are different types of foods in Bangladesh which are totally dissimilar from one another from the side of taste and value. Generally, rice, dal, fish, vegetable and meat are our main dishes and the people of Bangladesh take three meals in a day. In the morning, we take breakfast where the urban people take ruti, porota, biscuit, vegetable, chicken, tea etc. and the rural people take muri, khoi, pitha or stale rice with chilly. In lunch, the people of different range take different foods according to their own choice and demand. Most of the people take rice, dal, vegetable and fish in their lunch. There’s a common saying: “Fish and rice make a Bengali.” At the time of cooking our cook uses different types of spices like garlic, peppers, turmeric, onion, cinnamon, coriander, cumin, or mustard seed etc. that make our foods more tasty. In our daily meals we generally take mixed vegetables, fish bhuna, fried okra, Bhorta, fried eggplant, chicken curry, lentils, Egg curry, beef, mutton etc. with rice. Again in our snacks we normally take Paratha, Samosa, Singara, puri, fried roti stuffed with eggs, Naan, Pitha, Mishti Doi and Ras Malai. After taking our meals we usually drink tea, milk and cool drinks. We also take various types of fruits in our leisure time; mango, jack fruits, banana, pine apple, orange, apple, guava, water melon and other seasonal fruits are taken according to the season and choice.
Importance of Tables of Contents
Tables of Contents are a valuable coordination tool to ensure the text includes everything required. The first step for writing the text is to create the table of contents listing the expected sections from every design discipline on the project team. The contents usually includes the titles or descriptions of the first-level headers, such as chapter titles in longer works, and often includes second-level or section titles within the chapters as well, and occasionally even third-level titles . The depth of detail in tables of contents depends on the length of the work, with longer works having less. Formal reports also have a table of contents. Within an English-language book, the table of contents usually appears after the title page, copyright notices, and, in technical journals, the abstract; and before any lists of tables or figures, the foreword, and the preface. Printed tables of contents indicate page numbers where each part starts, while digital ones offer links to go to each part. The format and location of the page numbers is a matter of style for the publisher. If the page numbers appear after the heading text, they might be preceded by characters called leaders, usually dots or periods, that run from the chapter or section titles on the opposite side of the page, or the page numbers might remain closer to the titles. In some cases, the page number appears before the text. The table of contents shows what Subjects are there in a book, journal, magazine or in a research paper. So what is included in a book is shown in its table of contents. The table also shows a reader what the topics are, who the writers are, and which page a reader should open to read a particular topic. Sometimes in some books, topics are organized first in units and then in lessons. However, some books only show the chapters .In some cases, tables of contents contains a high quality description of the chapter's but usually first-level header's section content rather than subheadings. Matter preceding the table of contents is generally not listed there. However, all pages except the outside cover are counted, and the table of contents is often numbered with a lowercase Roman numeral page number. Many popular word processors, such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, and Star Writer are capable of automatically generating a table of contents if the author of the text uses specific styles for chapter titles, headings, subheadings, etc. So tables of contents are much important to get desired topics quickly.

The Art of Making Friends
The process of making a friend is a very unique one. It depends on the person. Generally, everyone is trying to become friend with others. Making friendship depends on one's gender and age but most importantly it depends on one's personality. Naturally, every individual is different and how they make friends differs just as greatly. The way I make friends depends heavily on my personality. As an introverted person, I tend to first meet with possible friends through what I call forced association. After the initial meeting, I calculate them and determine whether or not I think they should be my friend. Bonding, specifically male bonding follows and acceptance is the final stage. Before I can investigate into the sometimes mysterious process of becoming friends with someone, I have to tell some personal information. I am a great believer in personality typing: the theory that a great majority of people fall into one personality type or another. It is to say that I am very introverted. This does not mean I am anti-social, it merely means that new and non-routine communication with others duties my energy. The process of making a new friend may be different from others.
Non-Governmental Organization(NGO)
A NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) is principally independent from government, which is organized on a local, national or international level to address issues in support of the public good. Generally, NGO performs a variety of services and charitable functions, brings public concerns to governments, monitor policy and program employment. It also encourages civil society to participate in the community level. Again, some NGOs are organized around specific issues, such as human rights. Numerous local, regional and international NGOs have played an essential role in national rule of law change processes and at the global and international level. Some conduct research and analysis in the legal and other fields (e.g. sociology, economics) relevant to the rule of law. In many cases, they produce reports with policy recommendations. Besides, NGOs often serve and help to monitor the international agreements. Again, in the rule of law field most non-governmental organizations are engaged in some form of direct assistance or services, including advising on law-making and other forms of technical assistance and manage rule of law projects. The number of national and local NGOs worldwide that engage in such rule of law activities is vast. In fact, they play an important role for the common people and the nation.

The significant of reading newspapers has been observed since the dawn of its history and it cannot be described in words. By reading newspaper, the reader can learn the latest happenings in different parts of the home and abroad. The reader also learns about the latest political movements and changes in the government and the international politics and affairs going through the international page. Those who are the regular readers of the international page are very much aware of the geographical and political affairs of the world. A student can also be benefited from a newspaper. There are pages on education from which students can learn many things. By going through the editorial column, the reader can know about the analytic explanation of a thing or a matter. From the business page, he can learn about the economy of our country, business affairs of the country and many other statistical things. Similarly, sports page provides the reader with the latest news of sports and games. Religion and religious analysis are also found in a newspaper. In fact, Newspaper reading can widen the mental horizon of an individual and it develops our ideas, broadens our outlook, enriches our thought, removes our narrowness, and purifies our philosophy.
Shopping at near by Bazar
Shopping is something which is loved by all of us. It is said that many people find shopping relaxing. The shopping Mall Department Store is a favorite place. We always go to the Mall Department store in the morning by walking. Actually Shopping is an activity in which a customer browses the available goods or services presented by one or more retailers with the intent to purchase a suitable selection of them. The shopping experience can range from delightful to terrible, based on a variety of factors including how the customer is treated, convenience, and mood. But my experience is always pleasant. These shops stand by the sides of the road. These shops are good in structure. The shops are opened generally at 8 A.M. and are closed at 10 P.M. There were large crowds of people at the shops. There were motor cars, rickshaws, scooters and taxies. The buses, too, were plying up and own the bazaar. We kept to the foot-path. Soon we were at the Fountain. We moved on. There were shops dealing in all sorts of goods. There were the cloth merchants, chemists, jewelers, confectioners1, tobacconists, leather goods merchants, wine merchants, gramophone dealers, radio shops and shops dealing in general merchandise. The show cases exhibited the goods in style to tempt us. We had now gone round the whole shopping-centre. We, therefore, turned round. On the way back we went into the lane specializing in friend foods. There we had some steaming-hot parathas stuffed with potatoes. They were, indeed, very tasty and my friend relished them. Now we were in the centre of the bazaar. My friend entered a shop dealing in suitcases and bags and he purchased a nice looking handy brief-case to keep papers. Then we went back to the Red Fort end of the bazaar. It was evening by now. The whole bazaar looked bright like day. The showcases we had seen before looked all the more bright due to the dazzling lights. The whole place seemed transformed. We saw young boys and girls, smartly dressed strolling about. They seemed to be strangers because they were amazed at what they saw. My friend has a mind to go round the bazaar again but I felt tired. So I persuaded him to return. We now hired a taxi and came back home.
The Wheel
A wheel is a round and circular element which is used to move things and articles and different vehicles. It is seen everywhere on like in our cars, planes, carts, trains, machines and in factory articles. The very first wheel man invented was of stone. People use it for transport. With the time pass man made improved wheels as for their transport or something want to move. Now it is seen in all things. And wheel becomes an essential part of life. The invention of the wheel forms the very foundation of human progress. Today, the wheel, rotating on an axle, forms main principle of every machine, gadget and engine. The wheel is universal. We cannot think of life without wheels. Whether it is a watch, an engine, a generator, a car, a train, a tram or a simple bullock cart, there are again wheels and wheels. Without a wheel all our Industrial and other activities would come to an unending position. The moon and the sun are also round and circular like a wheel in shape. They look like two divine wheels fitted into the celestial car of the universe. The early man must have noticed the circular shape of these luminous heavenly bodies, and inspired to invent the wheel to carry heavy loads from one place to another.
Tribal Life
The inhabitants of the Hill Tracts are mostly known as tribal. Generally, the life of the tribal people is extremely fascinating. The people of the rich and middle class seem to be happy in the village. But the poor people often lead miserable life. Life in a village is almost calm and quiet except some unwanted incidents created by evil minded people. Most of the village people are easy going and co-operative. One comes to other's necessity. Vocational Training/Education
Vocational education is the training for a specific career or trade, excluding the professions. It focuses on practical applications of skills learned, and is indifferent with theory or traditional academic skills. Students at vocational educational typically receive more hands-on, career-minded education than students at traditional schools. Individuals are given the opportunity to explore and identify potential career goals. Most vocational education recognizes the importance of general academic studies as well as career preparation, and offer fully accredited high school diplomas. Depending on a student's abilities and interests, a vocational high school can provide several advantages. Vocational training thus provides a link between education and the working world. It is usually provided either at the high school level or in a two year colleges. In high school, vocational education focuses on specific training for a career or field. Generally, many vocational high schools provide students with career preparation in health care, computer science, education, business, and any number of highly specialized trades. So, students have the opportunity to gain the knowledge and experience to become carpenters, electricians, machinists, painters, plumbers, or other professionals. Some programs administer licensing or certification examinations in such programs that allow students to become eligible for employment immediately after graduation.
Food adulteration
A substance added to a food-item to reduce its quality in order to increase its quantity is called as an adulterant. This act of addition of the adulterant in food-items is known as food adulteration. The addition of adulterant may be intentional or accidental. But generally the adulterant addition is intentional. The major reason for the intentional addition of these adulterants is for increasing the profit margin on the expense of the health of the public or consumer. Food adulteration has become a new problem in the country. People do not bother what they are having as foods even they know that it may cause them much harm. Some adulterants enter via agricultural steps, as they are not cleaned well. These are visible adulterants like stones, leaves, soil, sand and dust to name a few. The consumer can clean them and this makes it less harmful. Other adulterants that are intentionally added are invisible or they are made invisible by astutely camouflaging with the color or texture. They are generally harmful for the health and most of them lead to serious health problems like cancer. However, there are hardly any food items from fish to meat, vegetables to milk; biscuits to juice that are not adulterated in one way or another. The hotels and restaurants are also serving these poisonous and unhealthy menus. Different reports show that adulterated foods are causing serious diseases including diarrhea and dysentery round the year. And adulterant reduces the quality of the food and this weakens the health of the one who consumes them, thereby increasing the cost for healthcare. Regular intake of an adulterated food can lead to many health problems. From curable to incurable disorders and diseases can ruin one’s lifestyle and life as well. Recently, the government and general public have been much worried about this issue. The government has set mobile courts to detect and punish dishonest people. And at least some steps are taken by the conscious people of the country. For example, they are trying to avoid some of these foods. But it is not enough. Both the government and public have to work together in order to eradicate this problem. Whatever remains the question and whatever the answer is, understood is the fact is that it's a social crime and many are in need of good health. Food adulteration increases the burden of health in the society. So it must be removed from the society.
How to be a Good Citizen
A good citizen is he who respects others and their property, listens to the views of others, helps the helpless people, respects the environment, works hard, and is well manner similarly willing to learn. Therefore, to be a good citizen first one has to be a good person that means one has to be full of values, principles, ethics, etc. Similarly, we have to be volunteer in our community, honest, a good neighbor and trustworthy. Furthermore, we have to follow the rules and laws of our country, respect other’s right and property, take the responsibly for our actions, protect the environment and receive proper education so that we can perform our responsibilities towards the country. However, joining all these aspects together one will find out that there is nothing else to be needed. Thus, one important aspect for being a good citizen is to help people all around us whom need for our help. Therefore, our job as good citizens is to help those kinds of people who are helpless and in danger. We also have to act fairly. On the other hand, there is another important thing we have to remember for being a good citizen is to have an active participation in our community. There are a lot of ways we can do that especially, when elections come for voting for the governor, we have to be in the line ready to give our vote. The last recommendation for being a good citizen is the respect towards the people who live around us. Similarly, we have to remember that as we have rights, they have them too. On the other hand, respect is one of the most important bases at the time of living in a society and we all have freedom, but it is restricted to certain point. So, we do continue our activities so that none can be harmed by us in the society and it will make us a good citizen.
Mobile Phone
There are a lot of new means of communication which have made our life so simple and easy going. Mobile phone can be seen as the most used present day wonder in this fast growing time. It is a revolutionary step in the field of tele-communication. Mobile phone has completely changed the concept of the telephoning. Now a day the mobile phone is not only a mere phone but it is a lot in itself. It works on a unique networked system which needs no wiring, no fixation and no botheration. The mobile phone was first tested in 1978 and the mobile market in Britain alone had grown at a rapid rate to 8.5 million users by 1997. In Japan it is as high as one mobile phone per ten people. When we think over the advantage of a mobile phone in comparison to the old rigid telephones, we can say that the greatest advantage of the mobile phone is that it can be used anywhere, anytime. It can send a message, store a date. It can be used as computer and a whole world in one's hand. As for the instant information, it has an advantage in life controlled by the information that continues changing by a minute unit of advanced information oriented society. By it, update speed of the whole information has become fast. No doubt, it has changed the whole situation of the world. The mobile phone has become necessity for today's world. But the new generation is misusing it by distorting its uses. Some innocent people are being exploited through it. MMS, video clippings, picture messaging are some of the ways which are being misused. There should be strict legal procedure against such distortion of this cellular age. So it can be said that one cannot deny the change in life with the change of time but when this change is over-exposed it is called pollution. We must balance these two phenomena in order to create a healthy world.
A Common Bird in Bangladesh/Crow
Common bird is a bird, which is seen here and there by all. The crow is the most common of all birds in Bangladesh. It is an early riser. When it caws at dawn, we know that night is over. Its voice is harsh. It is a thief by nature. It steals away food from the kitchen and swoops upon everything. It is a medium sized bird. The crow is jet in colour with gray breast. It has strong bill. Its wings are strong. Its two legs are ill shaped with sharp claws in them. Its eyes are bright and keen. It prepares its nest in the high trees in the forest or garden and lives there. The crow eats rice, fish and flesh. It also eats fruits and rotten things. It steals food from the kitchen and snatches food from the children. It also steals eggs of hens and other birds. The crow has great fellow feelings for one another. If any one of them is in danger, then many come to its rescue. Though the crow is ugly and its voice is harsh, it is very useful. It makes our house neat and clean by eating rotten and dirty things. Thus it does well to us.
A little learning is a dangerous thing
An inexpert person can not do anything perfectly. Rather he brings about danger and destruction. So, it is a fact that, one who learns a little about any art or subject can not be successful in doing any work related with that subject. But in consequence he creates a terrible and horrible situation. It can be understood clearly by the reference from the story “The Magician”. In this story a boy named Hans learnt a little about a magic and tried to apply it. Then he created a terrible situation. He was about to wash away himself and the valuable books and things of the library of a famous magician Frankel who wanted to teach him a lesson that a little learning is a dangerous thing. He hit upon a plan. His plan worked well. At last Hans understood that a little learning is a dangerous thing. Then Frankel saved his life. Similarly, if a driver begins to drive a vehicle without proper training, he will surely cause death and destruction. Therefore, it is clear to us that a little learning is a dangerous thing. We should not start doing anything without being capable to do it without sufficient knowledge.

A New School Is A New Experience
The first day at a new school is really an interesting everyone’s life. When I was going to my new school at Chittagong for the first time, I was very nervous. I had to change my school because my father had transferred from Rangpur to Chittagong. This changing gave me a scope to keep some new experiences from there. As Chittagong was an unknown city to me, my father brought me to the school. When I entered the school campus, I considered my new school as a new experience. I didn’t know anybody. I was also thinking what the teachers and the students were going to be like. It taught me how to face in a new environment. Meanwhile we met the Headmaster. He found me nervous and tried to console me saying something positive about the school. His speech made me comfortable. However, my father went to his office and I entered my classroom. I found the teachers and the students friendly. They behaved with me very cordially. There I got three friends. Our English teacher attracted me most. In this new school I also learnt the way of making relation with other persons easily. To sum up the day was very interesting to me. I frequently remember that day.
An Accident
Accident is an unpleasant occurrence. It occurs accidentally. It may cause great harm to life. One may be injured. Wounded even lose one’s life by accident. Accident may be of different types. Such as air crushes, motor vehicle accidents, rail accidents etc. They are all dangerous. Some accidents are minor in the sense that they cause less harm than the major accidents. We can here remember the accident of Mrs. Siddiqa Murshed. She hurt herself badly while she was passing near the college pond and became senseless. And there was a crowd around her. Fortunately, Anwar and Kashem two school going boys were passing by the place at that time. They saw the crowd and went there to see what happened. Anwar recognized her as she was the grandmother of Rina, his classmate. He told Kashem to stand there and hurried to Rina’s home to call her mother. Rina’s mother came to the spot with Anwar hearing the news. They took her to the hospital and after several weeks she recovered from her illness. She was lucky and thankful to those young people who acted very responsibly. We should also try to be responsible in our everyday life.
At The Zoo
During the last winter holiday I went to visit the national zoo. It is situated at Mirpur. My uncle took me to the zoo. We went there by bus. We reached there at 9 am. My uncle bought two tickets and we went inside the zoo. At first we went into the shed in which monkeys were. I saw many monkeys there. They were jumping one bar to another. My attention was next drawn to the cage in which there were two big snakes. They seemed to be asleep. The sight of snakes made my blood creep. Then I turned my eyes from them at a porcupine. I then saw some deer whose beautiful eyes attracted me. I turned away from them to the place where the tigers were held in a cage. They greeted me with loud growls. They impressed me with their majesty. I also saw birds of different colors, shapes and sizes.

Wise men always think for future. They plan for the future, work for the future. They are patient. They don’t show hurry in their activities. If anyone works seriously, he must get the result in future. One should not be much satisfied with what he has now. Rather he should think what he will have in future. He should think about winter when it is summer. Our class teacher always advises us to work for future and we follow his advice. Accordingly, we knew the name of the seasonal vegetables and flowers so that we could grow the right vegetables in the right time. We prepared the seed-bed and then planted the seasonal seeds and waited to see the result of our work. Now we are very happy because our garden is now full of vegetables, plants and flowers. It has become possible for our appropriate future steps. So, every one should work for future.

His honest policy always brings glorious out-come for himself and for his family, society and country. Everybody trusts him for his authentic policy and so, he entrusted with important duties. And thus, an honest man is an emblem of humanity. The same evaluation comes from the text under the title of “Honesty is the best policy”. There a story by Mr. Anis Ahmad goes like this honest man was appointed as a caretaker of a big mango orchard. He worked for years but didn’t take the test of any single mango. This was proved when the owner of the orchard once, asked him to bring sweet mangoes to entertain his friends. Although at first, he was scolded, by the owner for bringing sour mangoes, later he was rewarded by the same man. In fact, it was teaching for Bahadur, an old bearer of a school garden for his honesty. He was so moved by the story that he admitted his guilt because of being ushered the right way by this very policy.

Life of a Farmer
Bangladesh is a land of villages. A majority of her population lives in villages. Most of them are farmers. Agriculture is their main occupation. They work on the fields that are around the village. A farmer is very hard working. He gets up early in the morning, takes his plough and with his cattle goes to his field even before it is full daylight. He works there all day without caring of the hardships of weather. Winter, summer or rains, it is all the same for him. We find him working on his field sowing ploughing or reaping in biting cold as well as in the host winds of summer. He works ceaselessly till noon when his wife or children bring for him his mid day meal. He takes it under the shade of some tree. Often he sings a song to break the monotony of his hard labor. It is only with approach of darkens that he returns home. Then he rests and smokes his hukka. This is the happiest time of the day for him. His life is full of difficulties. In spite of his hard labor, he lives a life of extreme poverty; he is “born in depot, lives in doubt and dies depot”. His crops are at the mercy of rains. Famines or floods often take away the fruits of his hard labor. Still he is contended and God fearing when he falls ill, he finds that there are no medical facilities for his treatment. Often he dies untreated and uncared for. In the life of a farmer has a brighter side also. He enjoys fresh air and sunshine. Finally they keep a real contribution to the national economy of the country by their noble work. More and more improvements are daily taking place. His future is bight. So we should show them our higher respect because of their works and simple life style.

Besides, there are some special benefits of travelling. If a man stays at one place for a long time, he becomes monotonous and his life becomes boring and callous. Responsibilities
In our lives we have many responsibilities. Both the old and the young have to do these duties. For example, sometimes there lie many accidents in our society. Then the wounded can’t move or walk. In this moment we should take step to cure them. It is our moral duty. On the other hand, in the absence of the parents the elder can take care and look after the Youngers. There are many helpless and poor people in our society. It is the responsibility of the rich to help the poor. By the help of them (rich people) they (poor people) can be self employed. Tools
Tools means instruments which are used in mechanical or technical activities. They are also used in the garden. Works become easier if there are sufficient tools. When we decided to make garden in our school, we felt the necessity of tools. Generally, to dig deep into the soil one needs spade, to pull out the weeds he needs hoe, to collect leaves and weeds and to break the top of the soil he needs rake. Similarly to level the soil one needs leveler. Lastly, to take weeds away and carry fertilizer in, one must require a basket. So, all these tools are very necessary in gardening. Among the tools, rake, leveler and basket can be made of wood and bamboo. So, we ourselves made them. But, the spade and hoe are made of wood and metal. So, we had to go to the smithy. Finally, we collected all these tools and started our work in the garden. By the use of tools, we found our work much easier.
Water Hyacinth
Water hyacinth is a free floating perennial aquatic plant. With broad, thick, glossy, ovate leaves water hyacinth may rise above the surface of the water as much as 1 meter in height and float above the water surface long, spongy bulbous stalks. Due to its fast growth rates, water hyacinth can become a dangerous weed outside its native habitat. If they are not cleared away soon, they can cover all the water with blocking water ways and preventing irrigation. Even they can deprive other aquatic life of sunlight by shady their water. But water hyacinths can be used for all sorts of different things. Water hyacinths can be made into good fertilizer by collecting and drying them in the sun. Farmers can use this fertilizer to grow more crops and vegetables in their field. Parts of the plant are also used in the production of traditional handicrafts. They have also been to remove toxic materials such as cyanide from water. Recently the plant is often observed as a tool in nitrification in waste water treatment cells. They can also provide a food source for gold fish, keep water clean and help to provide oxygen to man-made ponds. It can be used as cattle food and producing biogas. Chairs, tables and other pieces of furniture can be made from it. Even paper can be made. Although water hyacinth is one kind of weeds, it is not worse than useless if we use them properly and with a systematic way.

City and Village Life
Man made the city and Allah made the country is an old saying. Village life is really different from city life. Firstly, town life is a life of luxury and plenty where village life is simple. Secondly, town life is a busy, Competitive and noisy life. Buses, trucks, cars and other vehicles always ply on and the industries make sound. On the other hand village life is quiet and peaceful. There is no rush and hurry in the village. Thirdly there are air pollution, water pollution and sound pollution in the city. But the village life is free from all the three kinds of pollution. The air is fresh and clean. Fourthly city life offers greater modern facilities of life. In the city schools, madrashas and colleges offer better standard of education. There are Universities and Medical College in cities. There are scopes for trade, and commerce in cities. So the standard of life in a city is higher than in a village. City life offers scope for employment on the country there is no scope of employment facilities in the village. So we can say that there are many differences between life and village life.
